阳台玻璃门被敲响。赖斯回头，看到白人女特工艾丽站在门外。

\what's the matter？（什么事？）\他拉开玻璃门。

\sir, hunter has arrived.（长官，亨特到了。）\艾丽汇报道。

赖斯眉头紧锁，沉默几秒后大步走向楼下。

大厅里，亨特正焦躁地来回踱步。

他刚从ur集团撤离不到三小时就被国安局盯上，连安全屋都不敢回，已经十几个小时没合眼了。

听到脚步声，他急忙迎上前，敬了个标准的军礼：\sir!\

赖斯上下打量着这个满脸疲惫的下属，皱眉道：\what's wrong with you？（你怎么回事？）\

\sir, i’ve been promised by state security—they’re chasing me like rabid dogs.（长官，我被国安局的人咬住了，他们像疯狗一样追着我。）\亨特擦了擦额头的冷汗，\ i haven’t dared to sleep for over a dozen hours.（我已经十几个小时没敢合眼。）\

赖斯眼中闪过一丝鄙夷，冷冷道：\where are the items?（东西呢？）\

\the encryption key is here!（密钥在这里！）\亨特急忙从内袋掏出一个u盘递过去。

赖斯接过u盘仔细检查，确认没有损坏后转交给艾丽：\检查数据完整。\

艾丽迅速将u盘插入电脑，输入一长串加密密码。

屏幕上跳出几个1t内存大小的文件，她逐一检查后对赖斯点头：\verify data integrity.（数据完整，没有问题。）\

赖斯这才转向亨特：\get some rest first. we’ll arrange your return after the situation cools down.\（你先去休息，等风声过了安排你回国。）\

\thank you, sir.（谢谢，长官。）\亨特如释重负，紧绷的神经终于松懈下来。

\elly, take him to the guest room.（艾丽，带他去客房。）\赖斯吩咐道。

看着亨特跟随艾丽离开的背影，赖斯眼中闪过一丝冷光。

他掏出手机，发出一条加密信息：【target confirmed. ready for elimination.（目标已确认，准备清除。）】

二楼拐角处，艾丽推开一间客房的门：\rest here. do not move around freely.（你在这里休息，不要随意走动。）\

亨特点头哈腰地进去，刚关上门就瘫倒在床上。连续十几个小时的逃亡让他精疲力尽，几乎头一沾枕头就陷入了昏睡。

艾丽回到大厅，赖斯正站在窗前凝视外面阳光。

\is everything arranged？（安排好了？）\他没有回头。

\affirmative, sir.（是的，长官。）\艾丽犹豫了一下，\are we really going to...（真的要......）\

\this is an order.（这是命令。）\赖斯打断她，\he knows too much and is already promised—he's a liability.（他知道的太多了，而且已经被盯上，是个隐患。）\

艾丽沉默地点头，从腰间取出一个装有透明液体的小瓶。

\wait until he's sound asleep, then move in.（等他睡熟后再动手。）\赖斯冷冷道，\make it look like natural causes.（要像自然死亡。）\
